Day 01 Cochin
Arrive Trivandrum and transfer to your hotel.

Day 02 Cochin
The morning is free is recover from the flight. In the afternoon you have a half day tour including the highlights of the city.

Day 03 Cochin / Calicut / Kalpetta
Take a train to Calicut and drive to Kalpetta in the heart of the area known as the Wynad district. This is the eco friendly area of Kerala, surrounded by forested hills, tea and spice plantations

Day 04 Kalpetta
A short 2 kms trek in the morning through the forested hills to the three tiered waterfall at Soochipara. After a picnic lunch you drive you to the Tholpatty wildlife sanctuaries to view the wildlife including Elephants, bison and wildboar. Overnight at your hotel in Kalpetta.

Day 05 Kalpetta / Tree House
You go further into the Wynad area travelling by jeep deep in the forest for an overnight stay at a Tree House. Set in a remote area, high up over a thickly forested valley and surrounded by forests, the Tree House is fully furnished with ensuite bathrooms. To maintain the fabric of the environment, no artificial toileteries are allowed, and you will be provided with natural ayurvedic subsitututes.

Day 06 Tree House
You have a free day to explore the surrounding hills and forest and perhaps ride and elephant. There are several walking tours available in this area.

Day 07 Calicut / Cochin
Return to Calicut and take a train to Cochin where you stay overnight at your hotel. Later in the evening you will visit the theatre to watch a performance of the classical Kathakali dance.

Day 08 Cochin / Alleppey
A two hour drive outside Cochin for an elephant safari through the surrounding villages. You will have time to stop on the way and meet and mingle with the villagers. Tonight you stay at a resort on the backwaters where you may want to use the ayurvedic massage facilities to ease any discomforts from the elephant ride.

Day 09 Alleppey / Kottayam
An overnight houseboat trip through the backwaters. Travelling through narrow canals opening up into enormous lakes, you will stop at villages and visit the markets where the boat crew will shop for fresh produce for your meals.

Day 10 Kottayam / Periyar National Park
Disembark from your houseboat after breakfast and drive to Periyar National Park for an overnight stay. Dominated by the picturesque Lake Periyar, this park is the premier sanctuary for the Asian elephant.

Day 11 Periyar National Park / Munnar
Rising early you take a boat ride on Lake Periyar to view the wildlife. Later you drive to the picturesque hill station of Munnar, stopping on the way to visit a spice plantation. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 12 Munnar / Cochin
Today you will tour a tea garden and factory which is the main industry of this area. After lunch you return to Cochin.

Day 13
Transfer to the airport for your onward flight
